Search your emails, surface insights, and send replies

Connect Gmail to Claude so it can search your emails, surface the information you need, and handle replies — without manually copying or forwarding anything. Claude retrieves the minimum information needed to answer your question and provides citations linking back to the original emails. It can also draft, send, reply to, and forward emails, and asks for your approval by default before anything goes out.

You can use Gmail to:

Find key information in email threads: "What did the client say about the revised timeline in their last email?"

Summarize recent communications: "Summarize the emails I've received from the marketing team this week"

Reply and send: "Draft a response to the vendor's pricing proposal, pushing back on the timeline but agreeing to the budget — then send it"

Forward with context: "Forward the signed contract to legal with a short summary of what changed"

Prepare for meetings: "Pull together any emails related to the product launch so I can prepare for tomorrow's meeting"

Track follow-ups: "Are there any unanswered emails from last week that I should follow up on?"
